Trade Policy

-  We sell or trade. We do not buy books.

1. - Trade credit does not apply toward new books, "cash only" books, sale books or new merchandise.
   

2. - All prices are based on the original cover price of the book. Jan's Paperbacks reserves the right to change any cover price   to current market value. Current market cover price will be clearly marked on book.
   

3. - Credit is calculated on a two for one trade based on equal value.
   

4. - There is a limit of 60 incoming books per visit.
   

5. - No loose incoming books, please bag them.
   

6. - Sci-Fi must be traded for Sci-Fi.
   

7. - L. Lamour must be traded for L. Lamour.
   

8. - Audio books must be traded for audio books. There is a $0.50 cent charge per outgoing audio book.
   

9. - We clean ALL books before they are shelved.
   

10. - We may not accept some Harlequins or older numbered romances.
    

11. - We reserve the right to refuse any book brought in for trade whether or not it was purchased at this store.
    

12. - Incoming books may not be accepted after 5:30 Monday - Friday or after 4:30 on Saturday.
    

13. - Unclaimed books and containers will be disposed of daily.
    

14. - Cards showing no activity for two years will be discarded.
    

Pricing Per Book

With Trade/Credit: For incoming books to be traded, half the cover price will be given as credit at that time. Outgoing books will be charged full cover price plus $0.15 service charge.

Without Trade/Credit: Outgoing books will be charged half the cover price plus $0.15 service charge.
